Hi. I’m Sara Shrode—freelance graphic designer, camping enthusiast and owner of Campfire Studio. Some of my favorite memories occurred around the campfire in my parents’ backyard in Osakis, Minnesota or a fire pit on one of our many family camping excursions. I love everything about camping—the reckless abandon into nature, setting up camp, searching for two perfectly spaced trees to hang a hammock and waking up to the smell and sizzle of side pork in the skillet. But what I love most is sitting around a crackling campfire while laughter, ideas and dreams float up into the star-studded sky.
Many people ask me what campfires have to do with my love of design. For me, campfires have always been a place where my creativity sparks. I’ve spent many nights sitting around the fire with friends and family, telling stories, singing songs and watching ideas literally—and figuratively—ignite.
I began Campfire Studio as a way to combine my passions for design and camping and share them with others. When you work with Campfire Studio, my goal is to emulate the feeling of gathering around a campfire—a place where ideas flicker and fully illuminate through smart, customized design and personalized service.
